PowerColor introduces 80nm Radeon X1550 PCI-E

AGP, silent-cooling editions
Wednesday, 17 January 2007, 13:28
THE NEW entry-level card Radeon X1550 is launched. PowerColor is among the first to announce a card based on this 80 nanometre version of the RV515 chip. This means it is a shrunken and renamed X1300, clocked a bit higher.

The Vista-ready card with core overclocked to 600MHz and the memory running at 800MHz. It comes with 256MB of DDR 2 memory.

The AGP version has the same specs and the silent cooling system edition promises to keep quiet. The PowerColor X1550 PCIe supports Crossfire and all cards share DirectX 9.c support, Open GL 2.0, Shader model 3.0 and anti aliasing with HDR. Don't forget about Avivo and HD and H.264 support .

The card should be available shortly in the channel and we don't know the suggested retail price but should end up around $75 we reckon.
