The system builders had until the end of December to order the 500 units available, and it looks as though it met that target, according to internal documents we saw last week.
That's confirmed by a message on the debian-developer, dealing with the up-and-coming X86-64 technology, by Marc Miller of Advanced Micro Devices.

In it, Miller said: "There's also the problem of hardware... there just aren't that many systems out there that we could spare a few. Some of our closest partners are sharing systems over remote connections."
