GOOGLE AND Sun have formed an alliance to fight against the might of Microsoft.

Details are sketchy but initially the deal involves Google running a toolbar program to download Sun software. This could involve Sun's 'Office' Suite. Other plans for the glorious alliance have not been made public. world's biggest software company head on. There does not even seem to be any promises that Google will buy any of Sun's super soaraway hardware.

Skeptics in the industry even believe that it is spin engineered between Sun's Scott McNealy and his former employee now Google chief Eric Schmidt.

However the force could be strong in this particular alliance. Google is in a position to hurt the Vole if it acts as an easy distribution chain for Sun's OpenOffice. The new OpenOffice is pretty good and can read VoleWare. There are some that think that all it needs is a decide distribution chain.

Not only would Google do this, it could also improve OpenOffice's cashflow. The software makes its cash by online advertising, which just happens to be Google's area of expertise.
