Friday, 3 December 2004, 07:27
TAIWANESE semiconductor firm Via said it has licensed audio technology from Qsound Labs.

Via said it will incorporate the technology into its Vinyl Audio product range, so that means we're likely to see it in chipsets as well.

Qsound tech includes Direct Sound 3D, A3D, and I3DL2 digital audio mixing and support for channel speaker systems including 7.1. The tech also includes acoustic environment simulation, eight band equaliser technology, and various stereo enhancements. µ
