Virgin NTL almost totally screws the INQ

A tale of two cities
Wednesday, 23 May 2007, 20:59
IN THE CATHEDRAL CITY OF LUTON, news editor Paul Hales has had trouble interwebbing for the last few days because Virgin NTL has "issues".

In the urban sprawl that's Harrow, just down the road, don't bother calling INQ Central's number on the front page because Virgin NTL said this evening it has "issues".

Yes, we do pay the bills.

That news comes as the world+dog speculates whether Virgin will be taken over by a private equity company.

It will take "a minimum of three days" to resolve the problem on the phone line, a nice Virgin techie told us today. If you need to contact the INQ urgently by phone, please call +44 207 316 9000 - that's head office. They know how and where to find us. ยต
