AMD hits China with dual-core Sempron

MOBO MAKERS have told Digitimes that AMD has launched dual-core Sempron processors in China.

The move follows Intel's inroduction of a dual-core Celeron in the populous republic.

The chip, the Sempron 2100+ is a 65nm product clocked at
1.8GHz.

It costs RMB 399 (US$55) and caused Intel to cut the price of its double-core Celery, Digitmes says here. µ
