TWEAKNEWS.NET tests the HIS ATI Radeon X800XL ICEQ II Turbo 256MB PCI express video card. A very long introduction for a card which has one of the most unique cooling system - white and UV sensitive. It also features blue fans and the card itself is quite overclockable.

The SPX500 ATX powersupply should please those who are looking for a powerful but quiet power supply. With a tagline like Ultra quiet and Super cool, A true review puts it to test and gives us its results.

Tweakers.net compares nine Serial ATA RAID-5 adapters in a group test which spans over a massive 32 pages. RAID importance is becoming more and more prevalent as hard disk capacity increases, price decreases and security issues arise. Better known names like 3Ware meet products from Raidcore and Areca. Surprisingly though, integrated RAID controllers have not been included.

CDR_labs tested the latest DVD writer offer from NEC, the NEC ND-3520A which as one can guess a 16x DVD writer supporting both DVD formats. With top notch writing speeds, low price - as from £35 in UK, NEC's new model will steal more than a few market share from its competitors.

Digit-Life reviews the Gigabyte Radeon X700. This card is a fanless one but features a massive double-sided heat sink which even allows the card to overclock. The Gigabyte card also comes with a break out box and several games. When tested, the X700 succeeded in challenging the 6600 on most benchmarks.

The new Intel Pentium IV 660 goes back on duty at GamePC. Chris Conolly and his friends likes the new prescott which now comes complete with 64-bitness, 2MB cache and EIST, it does more job and runs cooler than its immediate predecessors.

Double reviews from hardwarezone. First is one of the newer first generation flippin' Lightscribe DVD writer. The BenQ DW1625 is an ordinary DVD writer but can use HP's proprietary Lightscribe technology to print monochrome designs on a lightscribe compatible DVD. The idea might be a good one but until it comes to single pass, until it comes to colour and until the cost of media decreases. Stick to ye ol' printer. While Transmeta might have withdrawn from the CPU manufacturing market, some of its products are still trickling into mainstream. The ECS 532 laptop is based on the Transmeta EFFICEON and features a 15-inch monitor powered by a Volari GPU. For more details, head here.
