Virtual table tennis anyone?

Games Convention 2006 Kill the traditional games
Tue Aug 29 2006, 05:43
THIS IS probably the most bizarre thing that we had a chance to see at the Games Convention 2006 in Leipzig. We are talking about a table tennis game where you hold a controller and play your opponent. Well this is not the first game of this kind but it will certainly make you lazy as you will be able to play it from your comfortable Viiv-enabled sofa.

In the real world you have to take a bat and play your opponent and, believe it or not, even sweat while playing. We don't mind computer games, we live and love them but sometimes it's too much, and developers and especially publishers are pushing the limits of our credulity.

I am not looking forward to a super-lazy and super-lame future where kids will completely forget to kick a ball, take a racket, or ride a bike. An overweight future is coming and this is one of the ways to boost it, thanks to Rockstar Games of course. µ
