The Iphone is dead... long live the Iphone

No more stock and Oz airtime shock
Monday, 12 May 2008, 11:31

APPLE WEBSITES in both the US and UK are showing the original Iphone as "Currently Unavailable" further stoking the fires of rumour surrounding the expected launch of Iphone 2.0 at the WWDC on the 9th of June.

And news that Vodafone will no longer have the exclusive rights to sell the hairdresser's favourite handset Down Under could well be the first indication that the next gen 3G Iphone will be sold by suppliers other than O2 in the UK.

Looks like it could be a good year for the Iphone all in all. ยต

Good time for IPhone?

Unlikely, since Vodafone's 3g coverage in Oz is sketchy at best..

Bizaarly Funny

As the inquirer website is actually being ad-served with the recent/current UK O2 Offer on the iPhone. I didn't get it on this story though.

3g, 3shmee

..3g here in Aus is as popular as.....ice-hockey. The 3 network has been 3g for ages yet no1 uses vid calls and the so-called www on it is a joke. As far as the Iphone goes, peeps here will love it - I have a V1 Iphone(it's ok, nice screen but pretty limited IMHO) and every1 who sees it loves it, nothing like it around is a common theme. However, 3g..phhhtt?? I doubt it will sway any1 buying it which is why the rumors are as they are...sold to whomever can afford 1 and with whatever network does it 4 U..
