Hitachi AV player includes one terabyte hard drive

IT SEEMS like Hitachi is trumpeting an AV recorder with the world's first 1000GB (one terabyte) hard drive in it.

Or at least that's what this Japanese page appears to be saying, mentioning as it does the other members of the family available for the AV player, the 500GB, the 250GB and the 160GB models.

A table on the page says that a 1TB drive gives 68 hours of digital high vision recording, 128 hours of standard picture recording, and other data which you can compare using a Google beta translation, here. µ
