ATI HAS BEEN playing with its RS600 board for quite some time. It is the new integrated board that is meant to
replace a very successful R410 chipset. The Canadian company plans to have a new graphic core inside and it will
certainly have to support the upcoming HDMI connector. Everyone is jumping on the bandwagon to support this new HDMI
feature, as the consensus is that it is cool to drive video and audio via a single cable.
Intel will probably use this chipset for its entry-level boards. It currently uses the R410 chipset in its
entry-level offerings. We know the board should be showcased at next week's Computex show but you won't be able to buy
one in a next month or two. ยต
