SOFTWARE GIANT Microsoft is going to have a crack at suing those flavours of Linux it doesn't like.

The softly spoken, shy and retiring, CEO Steve 'There is a kind of hush' Ballmer has warned open saucers that if they do not respect Microsoft's intellectual property he will get all litigious.

According to CNET, Steve has been whispering to New York financial analysts how it was important for the Open Saucers to do deals with Microsoft before it was too late. He cited Novell's pact as a good example of what they should be doing.

Ballmer repeated his earlier statements that open source "is not free" indicating that Vole may sue Linux sellers.

Ballmer has implied that Linux has breached some of its patents but has never mentioned which ones.
