MAKER OF computer gear for the elderly, Apple has decided to put the brakes on its rumoured iPhone.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Apple's spiritual and temporal leader Steve Jobs was expected to announce the release of the phone at January's MacWorld Expo.

However CIBC World Markets analyst Ittai Kidron said that was about as likely as Dr Spinola turning up an INQUIRER Christmas party.

Kidron believed the timing of Apple's iPhone commercial launch is around late first quarter 2007 to early second quarter 2007.

He seems to think that, for some reason, Apple has decided to delay the release of the product. µ
