Bullet-proof USB drive spotted

Mental casings

PRETEC IS a well-known player in flash memory for special purposes biz, and a recent addition to its line-up certainly pulls a red underline below the "special purposes" part.

The i-Disk Bullet Proof is being manufactured in sizes from 128MB up to a nice two gig part, is resistant to water, ice, fire, napalm and of course, bullets. Not certain about grenades, though.

Of course, a bit of Chinglish was unavoidable, and the company is also claiming that they're manufacturing devices in "mental casing".

We guess that was either a typo or it means that data on the chip is resistant to telepathy as well.

We are expecting a sample for a review, and you can bet we will test the bullet-proof claim in local shooting range.
