Battlefield 2142 will be more expensive in Europe

We protest
Wednesday, 18 October 2006, 15:35
ON THE 19th OF October Electronic Arts will introduce its highly-anticipated Battlefield 2142. That is tomorrow. We want to get the game to update out benchmarketing suite as we really thing it will push the high-end cards.

An announcement on Gamershell.com states that Electronic Arts in the USA asks $49.99 for the game.

But then we went to a European site and learned that the Euroland version actually costs €54.99. You can check it here. We did a quick conversion and it transpires that Europeans have to pay almost 20 bucks more - or $18.80 to be precise - for the same stuff.

It is not enough that Sony neglects this European consumer market now we have EA ripping us off as well. And for all the guys at EA, 49.99 US Dollar = 39.96131 Euro. Or, the other way around, 54.99 Euro = 68.79029 US Dollar at press time according to http://www.oanda.com/convert/classic.

How can they get away with it as it looks I will pay $18.80 more for my Lab copy than my colleagues in the US. µ
