NAMCO DESIGNER designer Keita Takahashi has been hitting out at the shedloads of press that Nintendo's next generation 'Revolution' console has been getting lately.

Games mags have been waxing lyrical about the 'Revolution's' innovative control design.

Not so Takahashi, who told Game Developer that people should not get so excited about such things. He said that controllers should not have that much influence on the enjoyment of games.

He said that he could see what Nintendo were up to, and they were putting too much emphasis on the controller.

Takahashi said that by telling punters 'look the controller does this' Nintendo were really messing with their noodles.

The full interview will be hitting the news stands soon. The preview is here. µ
