While Microsoft is throwing gazillions into a campaign to counter Linux, the report claims that a number of events have conspired to make the cooperative venture stronger, rather than weaker.
One of those is the SCO litigation against IBM, which, Business Week says, means that every scrap of code is now examined by legal staff to ensure no other firm or individual's patents are breached.
And it said that Linux' market share will reach 33% by 2007, meaning Microsoft's margins will be squeezed like pips from a lemon.
