AMD Athlon 64 X2 pops up

NewEgg has an OEM 6000+ with interesting price-tag
Monday, 29 January 2007, 06:54
IT IS ONLY a matter of time before AMD officially announces its latest products in the Athlon 64 X2 lineup. However, the company will not be the first to market, since NewEgg has already came up with the product.

As we have already exclusively revealed, AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ is based on 90nm Windsor core, so no high-clocked 65nm CPUs for you. However, the clock is now finally set at 3GHz and we can conclude that even AMD's plain vanilla cores are running at 3GHz, which was something that AMD talked about and promised long time ago. The CPU marking on the copper IHS (heat spreader) is following: ADX6000IAA6CZ.

You can check the product here. ยต
