Apple has got nothing on us, official

Just like HP
Thursday, 14 June 2007, 11:07
ANECDOTAL EVIDENCE from insiders that Apple would never intentionally invite the INQ to any of its events, ever, and we mean ever, are obviously just the paranoid ravings of a journalist and, er, insiders at Apple.

We made a request to Apple UK to provide us, under the Data Protection Act, with information it held or holds in any database or on paper it might have.

You will be pleased and delighted to hear that Apple, like HP before it, has very little information it can tender.

alt='loggo'Apple UK knows the name of the editor of the INQUIRER is Mike Magee, his telephone number and email address. It has the wrong snail mail address, but let's not hold that against the maker of entertainment gear. There is nothing else for Apple to report, said the Data Controller of Apple UK, who was asked to provide information under Section 7(1) of the Data Protection Act 1998.

Like HP before it, Apple waived the fee it could have levied under the Act. We are vastly re-assured. What a nice company and what a lovely pastel coloured logo. µ
