Games store only sells to bright kids

Show me your grades before you buy

GAMES SHOPmanager Brandon Scott has decided that he will only sell computer games to kids who have decent grades.

The bloke, who happens to be married to a teacher, has decided that no school-age customer can buy a video game from his South Dallas shop unless an adult confirms that the child's getting good grades in school.

Apparently, the shop, Game Stop, doesn't endorse or even know about the good-grade rule but it has gotten the attention of local television stations.

Scott told News8 that he was probably going to get in trouble for this, but it's worth it, because the kids understand that somebody cares.

He has turned down about 24 sales since imposing the ban but claims that most of the kids come back later, with good grades.

In one case he even promised to buy a kid a video if he came into the shop with a note from teacher saying he'd got straight As.

After all kids, you don't want to be stuck in a dead end job like running a video games store do you?
