US and European DV3080 releases later
Tuesday, 8 June 2004, 17:46
BENQ HAS TODAY introduced a 30-inch LCD TV, to be marketed later this month in Taiwan. There will also be US and European launches to follow later, said Digitimes.

The new product, entitled the DV3080 has a 600-nit brightness, features scaling technology, 10-bit colour processing and RGBY adjustment technology. It has a contrast ratio of an impressive 600:1. The DV3080 also supports digital TV reception, and can be used as a PC monitor.

If you want a DV3080 you'll have to pay approximately $2300 when it's released in the US. Hubert Chih, who is the product manager for BENW's product marketing department, says the price reflects the company's expectation for LCD TV prices to drop in the near future. ยต
