Centrino Duo first to get F1 treatment

Villeneuve appears in Intel ads

WASTING NO time in capitalising on its new deal with the BMW Sauber F1 team, Intel has already produced its first ad featuring a Formula One driver. Jacques Villeneuve appears in a poster campaign for Intel's Centrino Duo offering with the catch line "Now entertainment really comes to life in your lap."

The INQ spotted Villeneuve at last night's glitzy party thrown by BMW and the man really is an ideal fit for Intel. He does look completely like a computer nerd.

alt='ploop'Incidentally, BMW appears to have outdone Intel already in the promotional stakes. Intel's Eric Kim was overheard moaning that the Intel name tags might boast the new logo but they look really tacky compared to the BMW version. The BMW tag even has a tiny BMW emblem as a rivet.

F1 fans might also be interested to learn that the team's third driver - Robert Kubica - is a Pole. He will remain in reserve while Villeneuve and Germany's Nick Heidfeld battle it out in the two main cars. µ
