Intel quad-core QX6600 on sale

INTEL made some noise about a more affordable quad core coming in Q1 2007.

It is now available but it's not cheap as beans.

An Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Sockel-775 boxed, 4x 2.40GHz, 266MHz FSB, 2x 4MB shared Cache (BX80562Q6600) is €778 including 19 percent Angela Merkel beer tax.
