US politician promises Google broadband for all

WOULD BE US president, democrat Barack Obama bowled into the Googleplex yesterday and promised broadband for all.

But the Googlekids wanted him to answer questions about ending wars abroad, improving education, and solving health care problems.

Obama was there to talk about his tech plans - those include a chief techology officer in the White House and making sure every American has broadband access.

He seems to think technology can help provide universal health care but perhaps he's unaware of how the British NHS plans to implement technology haven't exactly been a stunning success.
