DEVELOPERS and agencies were reportedly outraged after search outfit Google announced it would begin charging for use of its Adwords development API.

The interface allows programmers to administer multiple AdWords advertising accounts and is used in many marketing and advertising agencies.

Users have been informed that from July 1st they will charged for use of the tool.

Heise Online says many developers, some of whom face billls running to thousands of dollars per month, are outraged, though it failed to wheel any forward.

The publication is also critical of Google's 'highly restrictive" terms and conditions, which prohibit the use of the services combined with competitors such as Yahoo or MSN.
