Chip weather forecast: Price wars are imminent. Squally showers.
VISTA USERS everywhere are all a flutter after Microsoft said its first service pack for the luke-warm "operating system" has been sent to the disk pressers.
Are there millions of wanna-be Vista users out there waiting for the Service Pack before take the plunge and moving to Vista?
No. Is probably the answer to that. But we've been wrong before. *
Whispering Steve Ballmer also said Windows Server 2008 is to get a fresh lick of paint too. Stand by your download buttons. µ
* Once.
... when was this "once"?
Its about time to pay back a visit to my old friend, Vista.
So errrrr, when is it released? That might have been a good thing to include in your article?

If Microsoft still haven't put back a method to disable driver signing in x64 after removing the ability consistently in their 'updates', and apparrently again in SP1 - whats the point of buying vista? It just screams 'vendor lock in'. If i buy an overpriced OS - i should be able to load whatever software i damn well please!
...will get what you deserve.

Shame on you.
I'm in full agreement with Kai Robinson. I have paid £400 for vista ultimate. What do my privileges include? A guessing game as to what will run, if it runs whether it will run next time, and of course how often and when it will freeze up if you are lucky enough to get a runner. Oh, and to top it all, Flight Simulator X - muted to be optimised for Vista crashes - and crashes relentlessly. How can they get it so wrong without actually doing it on purpose?
