Last week in Hermit's Cave

The funny things that happen in the forum
Monday, 17 January 2005, 08:12
HERMIT'S CAVE, which you can nearly always find here, is the discussion forum where consumers of The INQ digest.

Almost any topic is fair game. Use the "Message Forum" link on the navbar to get there. Anyone can read anonymously as guests, but registration is required to participate. Registration is free and there are no intentional ads or popups. Anyone caught spamming or posting technical questions will be ground into kibble and fed to Wiki the cat.

Here is what we've been on about lately.

I want a MAC Mini - The release of the new Mac mini(tm) has caused quite a stir in the Cave. Several people show sincere interest, while others show complete detest. FEVRIUL clearly wants one, but wants someone else to buy it. SPINOLA displayed his usual respect for Apple products. Everyone else was somewhere in the middle. Oddly enough, no one has admitted to actually buying one.

Ipod shuttle - One week, two Apple products. However, the iPod Shuttle gets no admiration from the Cave. Seems the display is something we can not live without.

Beer kit? - LAOWEI is trapped in a beerless region of the world. Ok, not completely beerless. He just needs to build up a tolerance to the local brews [bruise?]. Until then, help a fellow Kaver in need by providing some homebrew advice.

Weird thing to try OTD - Stupid human tricks, Cave style.

Damm Windows media player - Someone wants to UNINSTALL Windows Media Player because it's messed up. And that is all I have to say about that.

Now for some business matters.

Word(s) Association
16,103 posts. Cheese on toast it is not.

Jeopardy
490 questioned answers.

The Cave has decided
TCB has no chance against six 8-10 year old girls during a cinema outing. M$ is expected to do different and better heaps of badly programmed apps (eurythmic monkey-boy dances came in a close second).

Hermit's Quotable Quotes
I have problems with Prose!!!! Write hickups!
