WE MANAGED to get a photo of a Radeon X850XT PE card equipped with 512 MB of RAM. ATI was specific that this card was not launched but it will be showcased on 25th in Texas overclocking event.

This card is nothing more than a plain Radeon X850XT with more memory and we managed to count eight chips on one side while it probably has eight more on the other side of the PCB.

The regular X850 XT PE 256 MB version has eight chips four on each side. On our picture you can clearly see that four chips are place on the top side of the card horizontally.

Those chips are not covered with cooler and card has four more memory chips placed vertically placed. Three of them are covered with cooler while one of them is not covered with a massive cooler.

This gives us the feeling that you don't need to cool any of these chips.

Here is how it looks. µ
