Next-gen consoles are taking the red pill

Matrix might be shiny and new
Tue Dec 13 2005, 18:37
SHINY ENTERTAINMENT has posted some intriguing new job listings on their site.

They're looking for a PSP programmer, which might mean there are plans to port Path of Neo to the PlayStation Portable, since the listing calls for the ability to convert "existing code base to run on PSP" and since Path of Neo hasn't been ported yet.

Another listing says they are looking for an Xbox 360 programmer to work "together with PlayStation 3 and Revolution programmers." All this, coupled with the fact that Shiny holds the license, could indicate that Shiny's CEO Bruno Bonnell's 2004 prognostication of a next-gen Matrix game is coming soon, and coming to all three next-gen platforms to boot.

With all the movie / video game crossovers, it seems inevitable that the Matrix still has its game face on. The only real questions are when and where. µ
