Panasonic intros two ultra thin notebooks

PANASONIC SAID it has introduced two new "semi rugged" light notebooks - the Toughbook T4 and the W4.

Both use Intel's Pentium M processor - the ultra low voltage 753 at 1.2GHz.

The T4 comes with 512MB of DDR2-400 as standard, expandable to a gig. It has a 40GB hard drive, a 12.1-inch 1024 x 768 XGA screen, Intel a/b/g wireless LAN, and XP Professional. It weighs 3.4lbs.

The-t4-with-strapThe W4 has a similar configuration, and weighs 2.8lbs, with Panasonic claiming 9.5 hours life for the T4 and over six hours for the W4.

Starting price is just over $2,000. µ
