A MOLE just told us that e-netdistribution (08700 508800) will flog 400000 52x CDR from CMC for prices starting at 8p and decreasing by 1p every hour so that at 4pm, the prices of the CD will be only 2p or £2 for a 100 CD spindle. Prices exclude VAT.

Moss Cliffe from Ebay is selling his old collection of Computer magazines for only £19.99. Local pickup is compulsory though. Amongst the titles that made history, the now defunct printed version of BYTE, from 1981 to 1995, Call APPLE, Dr Dobbs, Kilobaud and Micro. Get yourself a piece of history, buy the lot before it gets binned.

Ebuyer has some Flash memory (MMC, CF and SD type) for ridiculously low prices and including free shipping. There's that High Speed Viking 64MB card for only £3.99+VAT or a 512MB card from the same manufacturer for only £25.52+VAT but only £20.25+VAT if you buy a SD one. A 1GB MMC card will cost you for £48.39+VAT - £42.54+VAT for a SD one. But the cheapest media by far is CF type at 18.82+VAT and 35.28+VAT for 512/1024MB respectively.

Desperately looking for a cheap sub notebook in the UK, then try the Aries Precision 1101. At under £600 VAT included, it is light in your pocket. It comes with a Pentium M 715 CPU, 256MB memory, a 12.1-inch WXGA TFT widescreen, Wireless LAN, a media card reader and a DVD combo. Plus it weighs only 1.8Kg. Ebay has the last word though. There's a better configured Dell Latitude D400 on sale with a 90 day return to base warranty from Notebook Exchange. The laptop comes with 512MB memory and a Centrino 1.6GHz as well as Windows XP Pro. All for the same price as the Precision 1101. Tough choice.

Get those graphics cards as soon as you can, they won't stay for long. Retek Direct has a few good deals on their websites. First there is an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro with a 256-bit memory interface and 128MB memory which is on sale for only £99.88 VAT included. You get a Y power splitter cable and a S-Video to composite cable. Lower down the page they have two All in Wonder Cards. The first one is a Radeon 9800 SE which has a 256-bit memory width but only four pipeline engines (moddable??) for only £69.33 VAT included. There's also a Radeon AIW 8500DV with an external break out box with as well as a SPDIF connector and two Fireiwire link for only £22.50+VAT, much cheaper than on Ebay. All those cards are pulled items with 30-days warranty.
