THE ATI RD580 is what powers the Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe motherboard is on test at Bit Tech. It isa heck of a motherboard. It includes the ALC880 HD Audio Azalia codec, is fanless, four SATA2 ports, an external SATA port and two Firewire connectors. There's a number of accessories as well. Performancewise, it is a stunner. If you want the fastest graphic platfrom right here right now, you know where to go.

NGOHQ has one pleasant surprise for us. They have managed to create a patch originally from Asrock, which allows SLI to be used on all non SLI motherboards. What that means is that their website might soon come under attack from Nvidia, ULI or asrock. In the meantime though, go to their website and download the patch... at your own risk. Anyone want to try it on ATI's?

Laptoplogic shows you in details how to overclock your laptop using what it calls a pin mod overclocking guide. Details include photos and lots of factual information. The good thing is that the low-end 100MHz FSB Pentium M CPU that are needed for the project can be found fairly easily and the overclocking works marvellously on them.

Sysopt checks the Corsair TWINX2048-3200C2 2GB memory modules which can be found for less than $200. That would be around £40 per module. Not bad for high end performance but low cost parts. It has average overclocking performance and eases the pressure on the user and provides with one of the better value for money on the market.

The Dell Dimension 9150 computer is being tested at BIOS magazine. The pinnacle of Dell's desktop range comes with Dual Core CPU, dual layer DVD and 13-in-1 medica card reader. Cons are numerous though. Only one PCIe slot, noisy HDDs and limited expandability. Plus for that price, you don't even get SLI thrown in. But no fear, the two SATA disks, the TV Tuner and the 2GB memory should be just enough for Vista.

The XG Viper 2 Case is a big red case with a side window. It starts on the wrong foot though as the reviewer finds significant discrepancies between the list of features avaiable on the www and what he actually has in front of him. You do get tool less drive bays, gloss mirror paint and an LCD controller. But there's no 550w PSU or twin 120mm fans. Instead, you get a 400w PSU but also an all aluminium finish and a sound proof construction. µ

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
