A strike by the UK Fire Brigade is in the offing.
Prescott is the deputy prime minister of the UK government and has been known to "overheat", just like Intel's chip is alleged to do..
But unlike Intel's flagship
product, Prescott is also in charge of government department DEFRA (the department for environment, food and rural
affairs), which has just chosen Autonomy to maximise efficiency and improve access to departmental information.
Or as Autonomy puts it today, in terms which are as clear as the Humber River, which runs through the city of Kingston Upon Hell, Prescott's constituency:
"At the heart of Defra's pledge to achieve sustainable development and preserve the essentials of life - water, food, air, land, people, animals and plants, is careful use of valuable resources. Autonomy forms an integral part of that vision by streamlining access to critical information and providing users across the organization with improved access to information that will assist them in their work towards safeguarding a greener, more sustainable environment for the future. By aggregating information from numerous locations and forming a conceptual understanding of that content, Autonomy encourages organizations to make the most of their existing resources and access vital information within the knowledge base".
Sheesh kebab. [Er, John Prescott is not the same as Intel Prescott Adamson, Ed.] µ
