Jeans to prevent mobile phones frying your nadgers

Anti-radiation Levis

IN A CLEVER PLOY to sell more pairs of jeans, Levi Strauss has decided to launch a pair of Dockers trousers that will feature a pocket with an 'anti-radiation' lining for carrying mobile phones.

Garments which enable the owner to wear a phone and handsets designed to look like jewellery have appeared before but this is the first time that a clothes supplier has played on the public's fears of health dangers from using mobile phones.

There is, of course, no conclusive evidence that mobile phones emit harmful radiation but it has been suggested before that radiation might harm a male's ability to reproduce.

Levi Strauss doesn't yet appear to have taken the other obvious track and suggested that there will be special 'anti-mobile' jeans for pregnant women.

The INQUIRER has pointed out on numerous occasions that the best way to avoid radiation from a mobile phone is to swap to a handset which boasts a low SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) rating. Handsets made from special metals such as magnesium and titanium are particularly good in this respect. µ
