PC World to have a stab at a green PC

Tree-planting promise
Monday, 19 February 2007, 15:47
COMPUTER RETAILER PC World is to flog a carbon offset PC.

The firm said the PC will be made from recycled and recyclable components - where possible - and has promised to plant a tree or two in an attempt to undo the environmental damage the PC will do.

PC World commercial director Bryan Magrath reckons his firm is "harnessing the very latest technology and the expertise of cutting edge component developers to create the first 'PC' PC."

The PC will use low-energy components, the firm says, and will run Windows Vista. µ
