Yahoo sticks executives in perspex box

It's the marketing gimmick of the week
Tue Nov 15 2005, 19:02
SEARCH OUTFIT Yahoo has packed a group of its advertising executives into a small perspex box in Sydney's Customs House.

The whole thing was a stunt to make them think a bit better, apparently. The 'creatives' in the box were each given five minutes to come up with a groovy online advertising concept given to them by companies and members of the public.

The Yahoo! Think Tank included members of the Glue Society agency - which was behind the recent Virgin Mobile Jason Donovan campaign. None of them came up with the idea of taking the person who thought up the little gimmick, sealing him in his perspex box and pumping it full of hydrocyanic gas. It goes to show that they can't be that clever.

More here, with a picture and everything. µ
