Glitches in Intel 9xx boards fixed

BUGS IN THE 9XX series of Intel motherboards have now been fixed, the firm said today.

An example of the erratum can be found on page 11 of this PDF.

That says that Intel precision cooling can fail and only run at a maximum or minimum PWM for the CPU fan.

Intel said the problem was discovered by one of its inhouse engineers and said it only affected a small number of boards. "The affected component has been replaced with components that meet the higher specification requirements," he said. "All shipping units do not contain the affected ASIC." µ
