Life is great, says Vole

MICROSOFT'S TOP legal brief has told Steve Jobs to stop whining about how the music companies are shafting his glorious Apple empire.

Speaking to AFP, General counsel Brad Smith said that it is not the music business's fault that Steve can't shift every conceivable iPod and he should start to look on the bright side of life.

Smith said from where he was sitting, Apple was 'doing pretty well' while the music companies were having a bad time of it.

When it comes down to it, it should be the music business who should be telling the distributer how to flog their products not the other way around, Smith said.

He did admit that it would be nice if Microsoft could get a similar deal with EMI to be the launch partner for the British music publisher's DRM-free, higher-quality library when it debuts next month. But then again he doesn't have to wear those silly pull-overs. There is always a silver lining you see?

Jobs' depressed whine can be found here. µ
