A BLOGGER who felt that a right-wing radio talk show was getting out of hand used his blog to cause it to lose advertisers.

The bloke, who goes by the moniker "Spocko" ran a blog called Spockosbrain.

He targeted a Bay Area radio station, run by Disney-owned ABC and called KSFO, which runs talk showed by Melanie Morgan, Lee Rogers, and Brian Sussman.

Spocko managed to chase away advertisers by writing to them and playing them tapes of the shows.

When Visa pulled its advertisements and others followed suit, ABC set its lawyers onto Spocko and leant on his ISP.

ABC's argument is that Spocko was in breech of copyright in posting small clips of its radio show.

Spocko would almost certainly win any case if he could afford to take it to court, but he can't. As a result he had to shut his site down.

Now he is appealing for lawyers to lodge a pro-bono case for him against ABC. More here. µ
