PS3 Wiimote-style controller emerges

Console round-up Wii might not meet demand
Mon Nov 03 2008, 09:28

THOUGH THE 360 has had a price-cut, the Playstation 3 will definitely not be following suit.

Sony's UK managing director has re-iterated that there will not be a price-cut this holiday season. On the other hand, the Xbox 360 won't be getting another one for years.

Xbox 360
The hard-drive-less 360 is getting a new bundle for £59.99 which includes a 60GB hard drive, a three-month Gold subscription to Xbox Live, a headset and an ethernet cable, which isn't such a bad deal.

Eurogamer has an in-depth look at the new Xbox 360 Experience, and likes what it sees.

The US will not only see Netflix streaming coming to the 360 in the new dashboard, but HD content from Netflix too. Lucky yanks.

PS3/PSP
A very odd PS3 Wiimote patent has been spotted - Neogaf was the first one to see it, and what a sight it is.

Good news for Sony - the PS3 has beaten Xbox 360 worldwide in Q2. Considering the various recent Xbox 360 price cuts, we don't see Sony doing the same in Q3.

Playstation Home has been hacked according to a post at PS3Hax, via Engadget.

The hacker as managed to decrypt the beta client for Sony's Playstation Home service, leading to all sorts of fun possibilities.

The PS3 browser is now apparently faster than IE. Which isn't really a surprise to anyone.

If you love your SNES emulation on your PSP, try this controller mod.

Wii/DS
Reggie Fils-Aime has suggested that the Wii might not meet demand, once again, this holiday season, despite production increases. Where have we heard that one before? Can anyone say 'panic buying'?

Rumour has it that there are some incompatibilities with the new DSi, despite previous insistances that there shouldn't be.

The new hand-held update should see a US and EU summer release next year.

Expect a new re-designed Iplayer for the Wii, coming from Auntie soon.

As previously suggested, it wasn't long before the Wii's homebrew fix was hacked. µ

It's right, but not what you think...

I think it refers to a bundle of accessories, console not included.

It could be worded better though.
