Intel Nehalem details outed

Apparently
Fri Nov 30 2007, 10:48

X86 WATCH said that a heap of information about Intel Nehalem product plans have been outed on Japanese site PC Watch.

Those include dual core Havendale, Auburndale chips, eight core Nehalem EX (Beckton), which has 24MB shared cash, "extreme performance" Bloomfield, and Nehalem EP Gainestown, which apparently is quad core 8MB shared cache chip.

Will they all come to pass. Well they will, no doubt. But they won't have such exotic codenames by the team they do. Some more here. µ

24MB shared L2? I thought it was 16MB (2x8MB) shared for the dual die, eight-core part.
