D-LINK HAS launched its new wireless solution for small business customers - the D-Link AirPremier Wireless Switch and Wireless Switch Dualband Access Point.

The switch is an eight-port Layer 2 10/100Mbps product that uses Trapeze Networks' Mobility System Software. This enables businesses to manage, configure and control all aspects of thin access points, such as the D-Link DWL-8220AP, with minimal support resources, says the vendor.

“Our new wireless switch gives SMEs centralized management for roaming wireless connections, resulting in significantly more flexibility in how networks are deployed and reducing the time involved with managing individual APs,” said Osbert Ong, Product Manager at D-Link. “We're happy to partner with Trapeze in the development of the new switch family.” µ
