TSMC to fab up Spansion 40 nano flash

Some time or other
Tuesday, 15 May 2007, 15:21
SPANSION, the spun out ex-AMD division, said TSMC will provide processes to migrate Mirrorbit flash to 40 nanometres and below.

But when is the real question, because the firm said that while TSMC has made 110 nanometre wafers for Spansion since last year, 90 nanometre Mirrorbit 12-inch wafers won't start to roll until the middle of this year.

TSMC often loudly trumpets its ability to develop die shrinks for its customers, but while it makes the due noise, it often takes a while for the note to hit a customers' ear drum. ยต
