CALL OPTIONS on the price of AMD shares caused the Wall Street Journal to scratch its head.
Nearly 150,000 call options were made on AMD shares, the Journal said, with contracts suggesting a price of $14 or $15 on contracts that only have a week to run.
But, as the newspaper pointed out, there's little in the official pipeline to prompt the move. AMD is currently trading at $13.76 but spiked yesterday after a steady decline downwards.
The price of INTC showed some recovery after several days in decline, now trading at $21.52. Broadcom (BRCM) aggressive action with Qualcomm saw its share price spike today after opening. It is currently trading at $30.56.
Nvidia (NVDA) showed something of a decline - competitor AMD in the shape of ATI is expected to release products in the next 10 days or so that will give the Green House a run for its money.
Google's (GOOG) share price stands at $512.63 down $2.43 on the day.
A degree from Harvard or not, Bill Gates' company is running at $29.52, down 10 cents on the day as part of a week long decline. ยต
