Playboy to enter Second Life

SECOND LIFE, the premier destination for those lacking a first, is surely over with the news that Playboy is set up shop there.

The purveyor of well-lit titbits tat has posted an ad suggesting that Old Big Ears will be there in June, The Second Life Herald reports.

Second Life never held a great deal of appeal for your correspondent, who has enough to cope with without another set of bill demands, employers, red-tape merchants and timeservers.

With companies like IBM and SAP joining, the virtual world lost any sense of novelty way back but the news that the favourite brand of divorced fiftysomething, comb-over types desperately attempting to impress the ladies with their sports-car keyfobs is surely evidence that Second Life is over. µ
