Linux security holes identified

Bluetooth bug bitten
Friday, 17 August 2007, 12:59
RED HAT has discovered several new bugs in its Linux OS and has issued a security advisory rated 'moderate'. Both enterprise and desktop systems are affected.

A flaw in the ISDN CAPI subsystem could potentially allow a remote user to cause a denial of service or privilege escalation and a glitch in the Bluetooth subsystem could result in a local user triggering an information leak. Fixes for networking and login issues are also included.

The company is advising all users to update their systems accordingly. ยต
