When [Otellini] joined the company in 1974, most people didn't even know what a PC was - From the Wall St Journal 11-11-2004
RHUBARB MURDOCH'S News Corp is set to launch the Wall Street Journal in the UK in a bid to kill off the Financial Times.
From April 16 the the Amrican edition of the Journal wil be flogged in London some time before it goes on sale in the US
According to the Grauniad the paper will go on sale in some 250 newsagents in the capital with an initial print run of 3,500. It'll cost a wallet-lightening £2.50.
Michael Bergmeijer, the managing director of Rupe's newly acquired Dow Jones consumer media group in Europe saifd he thinks, "a large number of internationally minded people living and working in London will value the US edition, and we'll now be able to give them the competitive advantage of having the world's best business paper five hours ahead of US readers."
We might not be fans of Murdoch but the Journal has credited the INQ with scoops on at least three separate occasions. We don't think the FT ever has. µ
And which 3 scoops were that?
Was that scoops of Vanilla or Choclate or Gelati?
yes what are the three scoops, very curious
One of them was the exploding laptop deal. Not sure about the other two...
I'll Inqspect youse chaps, guys and birds to have it all sussed, sorted and Inq'd by say, "lunch'EST"

My-oh-me, this portends to Great Inqspectations for Blighty and the larger scoop'd Channel. Pip the call_ Ship Arriving Too Late to Save a Drowning Magwitch. Cor Zappa-me!
Vanilla, chocolate and hokey-pokey ... ?

... I'll get me coat.
If I recall correctly, they were giving away free samples of the wsj near liverpool street before Christmas.
How about Murdoch's Fox News, are you getting that in the UK, too? People in the US actually watch what Joseph Goebbels might have called a Meisterwerk.
Rancid fat is still rancid fat..no matter the pan one tries to dump it in.
