Nforce audio will use Creative EAX 'soon'

It supports 64 voices of 3D sounds and it has a nice feature through Nvidia Nforce APU tray. If they are DLS samples that makes your MIDI sound better.

One of the things still missing in this revision of drivers that we have, is EAX or to say the Environmental Audio Extension that Creative Labs introduced a few years ago.

This nice 3D audio API improves sound especially in the games that support the feature.

How ironic that even though ex-Aureal engineers were making this audio part of the MCP chip there is no sign of A3D - which works so well with Quake 3.

Even we can sniff cooperation of all kinds with Creative we still don't have many hard facts except the following.

We learned from Nvidia that EAX will be available as its document we saw some time ago promised. We're being told that we'll be able to try this out very soon indeed. µ
