Tuesday, 14 August 2007, 21:03
HAVE YOU EVER wondered how to clean the inside of your case?

Unless you have an acrylic case and can see each and every part of your computer turning nasty, you might not want to open your nice case and see what kind of dust has settled inside your precious EMI-intensive 'puter.

Technibibble brought up an interesting how-to clean dust article.

Lately, there have been quite a lot of reviews of power supplies and cases. Virtual-Hideout brings out the review of Antec Sonata III, a high-end case with quite a touch.

In the world of processors, there is never enough cooling when you need it. In the world of classical air-cooling, ThermalRight is one of the heavy-weights, and BenchZone tagged along to bring a review of Ultra-120 and Ultra-120 Extreme.

BenchmarkReviews tested Ultra ULT33186, otherwise known as Chilltec. This heavy-duty baby packs a T.E.C (Thermo-Electric-Cooling) element known as Peltier. We heard that Ultra might not keep this baby in its line-up, so if you're planning on getting some high-end cooling, check this baby out.

All of the cooler reviews are nice, but their job is to keep the processor temperature down. HKEPC Hardware brought up first review of Athlon 64 X2 6400+, also know as The Black Box. Check out the results here.

PC Perspective put themselves in a summer lane, with a review of Survivor and Padlock, two new USB sticks from Corsair.

Tagan's 2-Force II in its 600W variant got toasted over at HardwareCanucks. Can this 80Plus power supply handle the heat? Check out here.

ECS's P35T-A motherboard got reviewed over at Legit Reviews, proving that this manufacturer has exited the world of low-end and became a respectable player in motherboard industry in a spread of only couple of years.

Alienware Area-51 m9750 got reviewed again, this time at ComputerShopper.com. To stay in tune with mobile performance, Duane from BootDaily got a special treat: first review of Toshiba Satellite X205-S9359 notebook. While the name may not imply that anything special is hiding under the hood, this notebook is very first on the market with a DirectX 10 GPU and 512MB of dedicated GDDR-3 memory.

DVhardware.net treated themselves with a review of a mousepad, SteelSeries QcK.

BIOSmagazine showed up with a review of HHB FlashMic DRM85. Even though it carries a very unpopular acronym, technology behind this product is quite impressive.

For the very end of today's roundup, here is a real treat -- see how fastest mainstream card from AMD fights against mid-range mainstream card from Nvidia. Now, can you say that both manufacturers lost their balls in mainstream area and focused on winning OEM contracts for notebooks? Of course you can. In short, Radeon HD2600XT GDDR4 versus GeForce 8600GT.
