Save the planet with an eco-website

How stuffed are the works
Tuesday, 27 March 2007, 16:06
HOWSTUFFWORKS.COM IS taking a new approach to getting folks world-wide to stay eco-friendly and green, by dumbing everything down.

The site, which is well known for its ability to convert complicated matters into layman's terms is launching a new resource called "How Earth Day Works" - a guide that explains just what is going on, eco-wise, without much of that scientific mumbo jumbo. It's packed full of all those HowStuffWorks staples such as cutesy little gifs and videos.

Some of the big topics included are how exactly the Ozone pollution works, a guide to the Greenhouse Effect, "10 things you can do to save the Earth" among others.

Also included is the big question, "If the Polar Ice Caps melted, how much would the Oceans rise?" which, for a site famed for dumbing things down to their simples levels, should probably be "If the Polar Ice Caps melted, how screwed would I be?" µ
